The Colorado State women’s golf team will compete at the Heather Farr/CU Memorial Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. The tournament will take place at the Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, Colo.
The Colorado National Golf Club is a 6,350-yard, par-72 course. The first 36 holes will be played on Monday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final 18 holes will take place on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The field is made up of 19 teams including in-state rival and tournament host Colorado, conference foes San Diego State and Wyoming, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Minnesota, Montana State, Nevada, Nebraska, Northern Colorado, Portland State, Southern Methodist, Texas State, Texas Tech, UT-San Antonio and Weber State. Two individuals from Denver will also be competing.
The Rams’ lineup is Kasey Claussen, Natalie Stone, Melissa Martin, Brianna Espinoza and Emily Roering. Cecilie Krefting will compete as an individual.

Last season the Rams finished in fourth place with a score of 870 (+6). Not only did they have a strong finish but they broke the school record for a three-round tournament score, which was previously set at 876. They also tied the school record for single-round team score with a low 286 in the final round. Seniors Kasey Claussen and Natalie Stone led the way for the Rams with scores of 215 (-1) and 216 (E).

The Colorado State women’s golf team played the best it could in New Mexico but finished in 16th with a score of 915. Claussen and Stone scored 225 and finished tied for 29th.
