The Colorado State women’s golf team will compete at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The tournament will take place at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M.

The par-72 New Mexico State University Golf Course spans across 6,193 yards. There will be 18 holes played per day beginning on Monday. The first two rounds will have a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final round on Wednesday will begin with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.

There will be 19 teams competing in the tournament including New Mexico State University, UC-Irvine, Baylor, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Kansas, Fresno State, Idaho, Boise State, University of Arizona, Oregon State, Nevada, North Texas, San Diego State University, UTEP, Northern Arizona and Portland State.

The Rams’ lineup is Kasey Claussen, Natalie Stone, Melissa Martin, Brianna Espinoza and Emily Roering.

Rams at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invitational...
During the 2008-09 season, the Rams came in seventh place at the New Mexico State tournament leaving them with their sixth consecutive top-10 finish. Senior Kasey Claussen tied the school record with a score of 67 during the final round. This propelled her to finishing in second place, her season best.

The Colorado State women’s golf team ended the tournament in fourth place out of 20 teams. They had a team score of 912. Senior Kasey Claussen finished in second place (75-71-72--218) and senior Natalie Stone finished tied in 11th (72-79-74--225).
