FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The memorial service for Rich Bircumshaw, the Voice of the Rams who passed away Wednesday night, has been moved to a larger venue, Colorado State's athletic department announced Friday.

The service, scheduled for Monday at 1 p.m., will now take place at Blessed John XXIII Catholic University Parish, 1220 University Ave., just west of the McGraw Athletic Center.

The move was made to more comfortably accommodate what now is anticipated to be a gathering that far exceeds the capacity of the Bohlender Funeral Chapel, the service's originally scheduled location.

The Bohlender Funeral Home, 121 W. Olive in Fort Collins, will still host Bircumshaw's visitation from 1-5 p.m. Sunday.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Rich Bircumshaw to the Colorado State General Athletic Scholarship Fund. Checks should be made payable to the CSU Foundation, and sent to the Ram Club Office, 101 McGraw Athletic Center; Fort Collins, CO 80523-0120. For more information, call 970/491-4666.

In addition, thanks to help from Joe Vasos and the university's communications and creative services office, CSURams.com has posted clips of some of Bircumshaw's best calls from football and men's basketball broadcasts. The clips are available on his obituary.
