FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State women’s golf Head Coach Angie Hopkins announced Wednesday the signing of Cecilie Krefting to a National Letter of Intent.

Krefting, a native of Oslo, Norway, who speaks four languages, came to the United States in 2008 and has trained for the past year at the prestigious IMG Leadbetter Golf Academy in Bradenton, Fla.

“Cecilie is a committed young golfer who has had the opportunity to train with some of the best golf professionals in the nation,” said Hopkins.  “Her commitment to come to the U.S. to further her golf during her senior year of high school is a true testament to her desire to become a great collegiate golfer.  Her strong academics and her athletic ability will be great assets to our program.”

Krefting will graduate from Pendleton High School in Bradenton, Fla., this spring and will join the Rams’ squad, along with fall signee Emily Roering (Glenwood, Minn.), for the 2009-10 season.
