AURORA, Colo. – CSU Ram Melissa Martin won the Colorado Women’s Golf Associations Stroke Play Championship Thursday by a margin of three strokes.

Martin, entering her sophomore year at Colorado State, shot a 69-68-73 through three rounds for a total of 210, beating her closest threat, Denver’s Becca Huffer, a sophomore at Notre Dame.

“This feels good,” Martin said. “My game is definitely better these days. It’s as good as it’s ever been. It’s cool to think I got it in the hole in fewer strokes than anyone else.”

Martin finished her freshman season 10th in stroke average in the Mountain West Conference and she placed ninth in the MWC Championships.
