CSU's Claussen named to all-conference team

FORT COLLINS, Colo. - Following the women’s golf Mountain West Conference championship tournament, senior Kasey Claussen was picked to selected for the all-MWC team. This is the second consecutive year Claussen has been named to the all-MWC team.
Claussen finished the championship tied for sixth place out of 35 golfers. She posted a three-round score of 228 (+12). Claussen helped lead the Rams to a third place team finish.
This season, Claussen has placed in the top-10 five times including a second-place finish at the Heather Farr/CU Memorial. During the first round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, Claussen posted a 68 (-4) setting her season-low score.
The Fort Collins native is now sixth in the MWC for her stroke average of 75.03. Claussen has a career low score of 67 (-5), set during the 2008-09 season at the Price’s “Give ‘Em Five” Invite in New Mexico. Her low score tied the school record and led to a second-place finish.
Claussen will graduate from CSU in May with a degree in speech communications.
