Women's golf recap: Rams finish 12th

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - CSU gave its all today in its final day at the Branch Law Frim/Dick McGuire Invitational on Saturday but was not able to finish as well as it had hoped.
The Rams ended Round 3 staying in 12th place. They shot a team score of 299 during the last 18 holes, giving them a final score of 917 (+41) to end Round 3. Oregon finished first with a team score of 881 (+5) after Round 3. Ohio State slipped into second with a score of 883 (+7), followed by in-state rvials' CU who finished in third with a score of 884 (+8).
CSU junior, Brianna Espinoza, started Day 3 of the tournament tied for 26th and finished out for the Rams tied for 19th. Espinoza shot a total of 72 (-1) in the last 18 holes, giving her a total score of 223 (+4).
"I was very proud of Brianna today," commented Head Coach Angie Hopskins. "She placed in the top 20 on one of our hardest course, this should give her the confidence to continue doing well. I'm also glad to see all of our freshman coming out doing their best."
Sophomore, Emily Roering, tied for 26th with a total of 225 (+6).
