FORT COLLINS, Colo.- The Colorado State women's golf Head Coach Angie Collier on Wednesday announced the addition of Jordan Carter to her already deep roster. Carter signed a National Letter of Intent.
Carter, who is currently in her senior season, is a three-time letterwinner at Cienega High School in Vail, Ariz. She was the Arizona class 4A-1 state champion in her junior season while leading her team to a state runner-up finish.
Carter was named Junior Golf Association of Arizona player of the year in 2011 and had nine top-10 finishes. Continuing her successful 2011 season, Carter added a Mary Cave Cup membership and an Antigua Milt Coggins stroke-play championship. Her lowest tournament round is an impressive 65.
The Rams and Collier are pleased to add Carter to the team.
"Jordan is a great athlete with a lot of determination and a great work ethic," said Collier. "She has the golf skills of a Division I player and will come into our program and make an immediate impact on our team."
Carter will begin play for the Rams in the fall of 2012.
