BOULDER CITY, NEV. – The Colorado State women’s golf team was unable to gain any ground on the field at the 11-team UNLV Spring Invitational at Cascata Golf Course on Tuesday. The Rams, who began the day in ninth, slipped back to 11th at the conclusion of the final round.
Arizona (872) took first place behind the solid play of tournament co-champions Isabelle Boineau and Manon Gidali (+2). Rounding out the top-three was tournament host UNLV (891) and San Diego State (905).
CSU’s Brianna Espinoza (+18) was one position out of the top-20 to start the day but slipped back to 28th. Espinoza led the Rams with a three-round total of 234. Betsy Kelly finished tied for 35th with a 237 (+21). Sarah Roering scored a 239 (+23). Jessa LaBarbera carded a 254 and Christina Spinzig a 259.
Next up, the Rams will be in Phoenix, Ariz., for the Westbrook Spring Invitational on Sunday.
