FORT COLLINS, Colo.—The Colorado State women’s tennis team will travel to Nebraska this weekend to compete in back-to-back matches Saturday and Sunday.

The Rams will face Wichita State (4-3) on Saturday at 10 a.m. MT. Then on Sunday they will face Nebraska at 9 a.m. MT. The matches will both be played in Lincoln, Neb., at the Nebraska Tennis Center. Head Coach Jon Messick looks forward to the tough competition that lies ahead.

“Nebraska is ranked 28th, and so I think this will be our best opportunity to see how we can play against one of the best teams in the country,” said Messick.

CSU (2-4, 0-0 Mountain West) looks to come back after two home defeats last weekend. Messick feels optimistic about what lies ahead for the remainder of the season.

“After this last weekend my assistant coach and I have put together a quite-lengthy outline of what we need to do to get better,” said Messick. “We’re not going to get it all accomplished at once, in one week, but we’re working on being more competitive players.”
