FORT COLLINS – Colorado State women’s golf Head Coach Annie Young wrapped up her first recruiting class in Fort Collins when Lisa Unterganschnigg signed a National Letter of Intent on Monday morning.

Unterganschnigg (pronounced “OON-ter-GON-shnigg”), is from Austria but moved to Florida to play golf for the IMG Academy in 2009.

Much like Young’s first two signees, Allie Andersen and Sarah Archuleta, Unterganschnigg has national experience playing for the Austria National Team.

“She has a lot of talent and a solid golf swing,” Young said. “She comes from the IMG Academcy where she has been for four years and she’ll be an immediate impact for our team. She has a lot of power and has gained a lot of golf knowledge playing all over the world.”

In 2012, the Austria native placed in the top-10 in four of the five events she participated in, including a second-place finish at the Bobby Grace Putters Junior Open after carding a two-round 150.

Last February, Unterganschnigg won the IMG Junior Golf Tour held at The Club at Savannah Harbor in Savannah, Ga. after carding a 152m.

Unterganschnigg has another unique accomplishment in that she recorded a hole-in-one in Sept. of 2012. Using her 5 iron from 170 yards out, Unterganschnigg registered her first ace at the Champions Course at Palm Aire Country Club of Sarasota.
