  • No. 4 Wisconsin swept No. 13 Colorado State (25-21, 25-23, 25-20), handing CSU its first loss of the season.

  • The loss marked the first time that CSU has lost a set this season, ending a streak of 15-straight. It was the second-longest set win streak to begin a season in program history, trailing only the 1986 season (24).
  • For the first time in 87 regular-season matches, CSU was swept. Prior to Saturday, the last time CSU was swept was Aug. 29, 2011 at No. 17 Oklahoma. The last time CSU was swept at home was Aug. 29, 2009 vs. Oregon State.
  • The Rams are now 1-1 all-time against Wisconsin and 4-9 all-time against Big 10 opponents.
  • Even with the loss, Head Coach Tom Hilbert is 25-13 at home against top-25 opponents, winning seven of the last 10.
  • As a team, CSU tallied a season-low three blocks and was also held to a season-low .197 hitting percentage.
  • Wisconsin hit .312 in the match, the best hitting percentage from a CSU opponent this year and highest since BYU hit .353 on Sept. 1, 2012.
  • CSU’s starters were: Acacia Andrews, Adrianna Culbert, Cassidy Denny, Deedra Foss, Jasmine Hanna, Kelsey Snider and Jaime Colaizzi.
  • Individually, junior libero Jaime Colaizzi led CSU's impressive back-row defense. Colaizzi accounted for 19 of the Rams’ season-high 52 digs in the match.
  • True freshman outside hitter Jasmine Hanna set a career high with 13 kills, leading the Rams in that department. The 13 kills are also tied for the most by a Ram in any match this season.
  • Wisconsin jumped on the Rams in Set 1, racing out to an 11-3 lead before CSU tied the score at 16-16. The Badgers took the opening set, 25-21, behind .469 hitting (19-4-32).
  • Set 2 featured 13 ties and four lead changes before Wisconsin closed out the set, 25-23. The two teams were tied at every point from 13-13 to 23-23 in the back-and-forth set.
