FORT COLLINS, Colo. - The Colorado State women's golf team added Ellen Secor to its roster on Thursday, inking the prep star to a National Letter of Intent.

Secor, a native of Portland, Ore., is a four-time All-Metro League selection at Sunset High School. At the 2014-15 Oregon Class 6A state championship, she set a high school state record by shooting a 66 in the first round, on her way to a fourth-place finish. That year, the four-time team captain helped the Apollos to a league championship.

Secor has qualified for several national tournaments over the past year, including the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship (Portland), U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur Championship (Tulsa, Okla.), Girls Junior America's Cup (Cheyenne, Wyo.) and U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball (Streamsong, Fla). This past August, she won the Pacific NW Junior PGA title in College Station, Texas.

"Ellen is a good competitor," head coach Annie Young said. "She's played in a lot of national tournaments, and has been successful at several levels. I'm excited to have her be part of our program."

Away from the course, she is a four-time all-academic athlete and scholar athlete award-winner. The golfer - coached by Brent Buell - also played soccer in high school. Secor has an interest in studying business administration at CSU. She is the daughter of Tom and Debbie Secor, and has a younger sister, Katie.

In addition to Secor, Jessica Sloot signed her NLI to play for the Rams on Wednesday. You can read more about Sloot here.

"These two additions add a lot of depth," Young said. "These two players will come in and be ready to play right away."
