GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Colorado State women's golf team struggled through Day 1 of the Greenville (N.C.) Regional Preview on Monday, posting a 40-over 328 through one round of play. The 16-team field was originally supposed to complete two rounds, but darkness suspended the second round until 6 a.m. MT Tuesday. Following the conclusion of the second round, the teams will finish the tournament with a final round.

CSU's 328 through one round is tied for 15th place out of 16 teams. The Rams were at 29-over during Round 2 when play was suspended, with each golfer having completed 14 or 15 holes.

Competing from the No. 1 position, sophomore Katrina Prendergast shot an 8-over 80 during the opening round to lead all Rams' scorers. Junior Sarah Archuleta and Ellen Secor carded a 10-over 82, while freshman Jessica Sloot shot a 12-over 84 and senior Brianna Becker recorded a 13-over 85. Sloot was at 6-over during Round 2, leading all CSU golfers through 15 holes.

Sophomore Caroline Reiners, who is competing as an individual, posted a 7-over 79 during the opening round, and is currently at 6-over through 15 holes of the second round.

Through one round of play, TCU led the field with a 9-over 297, followed by Kansas State (17-over 305), Clemson (19-over 307), East Carolina (20-over 308), Oregon (21-over 309), Illinois and Augusta (22-over 310), Old Dominion (23-over 311), Iowa and Mississippi State (27-over 315), Campbell (28-over 316), Virginia Tech (30-over 318), Denver (32-over 320), Idaho (36-over 324), and CSU and Middle Tennessee (40-over 328).
