COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The accolades continue to roll in for Colorado State golfer Katrina Prendergast, who on Wednesday was named second-team All-Mountain West by the league's coaches. She is the 10th individual in CSU history to be named all-conference, and the first since Briana Espinoza in 2012.

Prendergast, from Sparks, Nev., capped a stellar freshman season with a runner-up finish at the 2016 Mountain West Women's Golf Championship. That led to Monday when she was selected to compete as an individual at the NCAA West Regional next week in Stanford, Calif. She is also the first Ram to compete at an NCAA Regional since Espinoza in 2012.

Her current season stroke average of 73.63 is on pace to set a school record. In October, she also tied a school record with a 5-under 67 during the first round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown, and finished the tournament with a 6-under 210, the third-best tournament score in school history. She has posted top-20 finishes in each of her past six tournaments, and seven times overall, and led the Rams in seven of nine tournaments this season.

Prendergast is joined on the second team by San Diego State's Sirene Blair, San Jose State's Regan de Guzman, Fresno State's Kristin Simonsen and UNLV's Alexandra Kaui - the 2016 Mountain West Championship individual medalist. Of the 10 players recognized by the conference, three are freshmen.

As a team, CSU's season stroke average of 297.72 in 2015-16 is a school record by more than four strokes. The Rams also set a school record with a 15-under 849 at the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown and had four of the top-10 single-round scores in CSU history this season.
