Match Preview: No. 20 Colorado State Begins Second Half of Conference Action at UNLV, New Mexico

THE WEEK• The No. 20 Colorado State volleyball team heads back on the road this week after a 2-0 record in Moby Arena where it picked up sweeps against San Jose State and Nevada.
• The Rams will face UNLV (7-14, 3-5 MW) on Thursday night starting at 7 p.m. MT before playing Nevada (11-10, 3-5 MW) on Saturday afternoon starting at 2 p.m.
• Both matches will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network with the match against the Rebels on Thursday also being broadcast on Stadium OTA.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Following this week, the Rams will have a quick turnaround as they return to Moby for a four-match stand beginning with Wyoming on Tuesday starting at 7 p.m.
• CSU will also host Air Force on Thursday at 7 p.m., next week and Utah State and Boise State the following week.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• UNLV enters the match with a 7-14 overall record and a 3-5 Mountain West Conference mark after splitting last week's matches with San Diego State and Fresno State.
• New Mexico begins the week 11-10 overall and 3-5 in the conference after splitting last week with SDSU and FSU.
• The Lobos recorded a loss on Monday against NM State.

• The Rams enter the week with a 18-2, 8-0 MW record and ranked No. 20 in the AVCA Poll - highest of the season.
• CSU sits at No. 35 in the RPI rankings - the highest among Mountain West teams. Previous opponents Michigan (33), Florida State (30), Colorado (23) sit above.
• Colorado State recorded another pair of sweeps last week against San Jose State and Nevada.
• The Rams hold the best record in the nation in three-set matches with 14-0 mark.
• Jasmine Hanna became CSU's all-time kills leader in the modern scoring era in the sweep over San Jose State.
• Katie Oleksak continues to lead the conference with an 11.81 assist average, which also is No. 7 in the nation.
• Paulina Hougaard-Jensen is ranked No. 14 in DI in hitting percentage with a .419 tally. She is also No. 46 in the nation in blocks per set with 1.31 average.
• The Rams rank seventh in the nation in hitting percentage with a .308 tick, 14th in blocks per set with a 2.87 mark and 46th in kills per set with a 13.81 average.
• CSU leads or is second in the conference in eight categories and has individual leaders in three of those.
• The Rams have three different players ranked in the Mountain West in hitting percentage, leader Paulina Hougaard-Jensen (.419), No. 2 Kirstie Hillyer (.385), No. 6 Jasmine Hanna (.315).
