Match Preview: Colorado State Volleyball Opens 2017 Season in Moby Friday

THE WEEK
• The Rams will begin the 2017 volleyball season hosting Duke and Central Florida this weekend.
• Colorado State will face the Blue Devils on Friday night at 6 p.m., in Moby Arena before playing the Knights on Saturday night starting at 8 p.m.
• Fans are encouraged to wear white for a 'White Out' for Friday's match.
LOOKING AHEAD
• Following this weekend, Colorado State will host Northern Colorado in a non-conference tilt on Tuesday.
• First serve is scheduled to be at 7 p.m., fro, Moby Arena.
• The Rams then head to the Sunshine State for three matches at the Home2Suites Invitational hosted by FSU.
RAMS AT A GLANCE
• The Rams finished the 2016 season 21-9 overall and 15-3 in the Mountain West, finishing second.
• CSU made its 22nd consecutive NCAA Tournament, suffering a 3-1 loss to No. 24 Kentucky in the first round.
• The Rams were selected to win the 2017 Mountain West for the fourth straight year.
BLUE DEVILS AT A GLANCE
• The Blue Devils were voted to finish seventh in the ACC after a 21-9 overall record and 15-5 in loop play last season.
• Junior middle blocker Leah Meyer earned 2017 Preseason All-ACC.
• Head Coach Jolene Nagel is in her 17th season at Duke with a 375-160 overall record.
KNIGHTS AT A GLANCE
• The Knights finished the 2016 season 23-10 overall and 13-7 in the American Conference to finish fourth.
• UCF will start the week playing two matches at Northern Colorado against Northern Colorado and Duke before playing CSU on Saturday night.
