KANE'OHE, O'ahu – The Colorado State women's golf team finished the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in fifth place with a 66-over par (308-312-310--930). The Rams carded a 22-over par 310 on its final day – the second lowest score of the Invitational.

Haley Greb and Ellen Secor placed the highest for Colorado State, each tied for 20th with 14-over par 230. Both recorded four-over par 76 in the final round. Katrina Prendergast followed tied for 24th recording a six-over par 78 in the third round.
Â
Secor led the Rams with two birdies on Wednesday, while Greb played very consistent making par on all but three holes in the finale.
Â
The Rams will compete at the Mountainview Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz., at Mountain View Golf Course, March 23-25.

KANE'OHE, O'ahu – The Colorado State women's golf team finish the first day of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational tied for fourth place. The Rams posted a 20-over par 308 in the first 18 holes to be in fifth place. CSU finished the day carding a 24-over par 312 and tied with Osaka Gakuin and (31) Texas A&M.

Colorado State was led by Katrina Prendergast who currently sits tied for 14th. The junior started the day with a two-over par 74 and tied for seventh after the first 18. In round two, Prendergast inked a seven-over par 79 to finish the day with a nine-over par 81. The Sparks, Nev., native carded six birdies during the two rounds, included three consecutive in the back nine in the opening round.

Both Haley Greb and Ellen Secor followed recording 10-over par 154 to be tied for 20th. Greb started the day with a four-over par 74 and tied for 14th place. In the second round of the day, she tallied a six-over par 78.

Secor carded a seven-over par 79 in the opening round before cutting her score down in the second round with a team-low three-over par 75. The sophomore par'd over half the holes in the final round of the day, included holing a par of birdies.

All three rounds will be played at the Kane'ohe Klipper Golf Course, with rounds one and two played on Tuesday, March 13 and the final round on Wednesday. Kane'ohe Killper is a Par 72 and plays 6,096 yards.

TWO RAMS QUALIFY FOR U.S. WOMEN'S AMATEUR… AGAIN
For the second consecutive year, teammates Katrina Prendergast and Ellen Secor qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship. A year after earning medalists honors at the Ranch CC, Prendergast and Secor repeated in that role, this time by shooting a best-ball six-under par 66 on Oct. 3 at Walnut Creek Golf Preserve in Westminster, Colo. The 2018 U.S. Women's Four-Ball will be held April 28-May 2 at El Caballero CC in Tarzana, Calif. It will be the third straight trip to the national Women's Four-Ball for Secor and second for Prendergast.
