Pair of Rams begin play at U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball

TARZANA, Calif. – Colorado State women's golfers Katrina Prendergast and Ellen Secor are in Tarzana, California this week for the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball Championship at the El Caballero Country Club, April 28 – May 2. The pair carded low enough scores at the U.S. Women's Amateur qualifiers in the beginning of July last year to advance.
 
The pair competed together in 2017 at the U.S. Women's Amateur Four-Ball at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C., May 27-31, 2017. The duo finished tied for 19th with a four-under par 140 over the two rounds to make it to the round of 16.
 
The championship is open to female amateur golfers who have a Handicap Index not exceeding 14.4. Prendergast qualified by posting a 69 at the CommonGround Golf Course in Aurora, Colo., on July 10. Secor carded at 72 during the U.S. Women's Amateur Qualifying round on July 3 at Cameron Park Country Club in Cameron Park, Calif. The Colorado State pair is one of 11 that are current, future or former college teammates.
