Women’s Golf inks pair on WGCA All-American Scholar Team

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Colorado State women's golf team placed a pair of student-athletes on the 2017-18 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar team as the association announced its annual honors. Sophomores Jessica Sloot and Fiona Hebbel were named to the All-American Scholar team. The criteria to be named an All-American Scholar includes a minimum cumulate GPA of 3.50.
Jessica Sloot was named an All-American Scholar for the second consecutive season, while Fiona Hebbel was named for the first time. This is the 24th consecutive year that Colorado State has had a student-athlete be named to the team.
Overall, 1,011 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with the prestigious All-American Scholar honor including a combined 23 from the Mountain West. New Mexico led the way with five honorees, while Boise State had four and Wyoming three.

The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents nearly 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
