CSU Athletics is uniting Rams from the Denver Metro Area with a goal of reaching 5,280 supporters from the region
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State University Department of Athletics announced today the launch of a new campaign to drive philanthropic support from the Denver Metro Area for Rams student-athlete scholarships, called the CSU Ram Club 5280 Campaign. The goal of the 5280 Campaign is to increase the number of Ram Club members in the seven-county Denver Metro Area to 5,280 members by December 31, 2020 – a mile high mark!
With nearly 60,000 living alumni in the seven-county Denver Metro Area, the Ram Club is looking to increase participation and philanthropic support to new heights. Donor support is imperative to the mission of the department to Educate, Engage and Excel. As a member of the Ram Club, donors will maximize their fan experience and truly become part of the Rams Family! In return for an investment into the lives of CSU student-athletes, Ram Club members receive exclusive access to CSU Athletics and will help create momentum that will lead the Rams to unparalleled success.
"Denver contains the highest number of our CSU alumni and friends," said David Crum, Sr. Associate AD for Development. "All of them are critical to the success of Rams Athletics growing and thriving. The 5280 campaign allows over 60,000 CSU alumni to join together, show Ram pride and play an important role in building a dominant Rams presence in Denver."
All donations from the 5280 Campaign augment the Athletic Scholarship fund, which helps to directly offset the $9 million in student-athlete scholarships billed to CSU Athletics each year. Participation in the 5280 Campaign allows CSU Athletics to recruit, educate, develop and graduate the best young leaders in the country.
A 5280 Campaign Membership Drive launch event will be held this evening, Tuesday, August 28 at the Sportsbook Bar & Grill – 9660 E. Arapahoe Rd., Greenwood Village, CO 80112. Guests will enjoy appetizers and giveaways, as well as hear from Athletic Director Joe Parker, Ram Club staff and socialize with former Rams football student-athletes Joel Dreessen and Marty Lenz.
