THE WEEKEND
• Colorado State will conclude its non-conference schedule this weekend, co-hosting the Colorado Classic.
• The Rams will host Indiana State on Friday night in Moby Arena starting at 7 p.m.
• CSU will then finish the weekend in Boulder, Colo., at Colorado playing Portland State in a neutral match before playing the Buffs at 8 p.m.
• The Rams will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network on Friday night and appear on the Pac-12 Network on Saturday night against CU.
 
OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• Indiana State will begin the weekend with 6-3 record after posting a 2-1 record at the Sycamore Invitational last week. The Sycamores picked up a pair of 3-2 wins against Green Bay and Saint Louis, but fell to Central Michigan in five sets.
• Portland State begins the week with a 1-6 mark, with its lone win in its season opener against Long Beach State. The Vikings have lost their last eight matches, including five by sweep.
• Colorado holds a 5-3 record to begin its final weekend of non-conference matches. The Buffs were handed their first loss of the season at Wyoming before dropping matches to No. 11 Illinois and Georgia.
 
LOOKING AHEAD
• Following the weekend, the Rams will begin Mountain West Conference action at Nevada on Thursday, Sept. 20.
• CSU will then return home and host San Jose State on Saturday, Sept. 22 for its first home league match of the season.
• After the conference-opening weekend, Colorado State will head to California to play San Diego State and Fresno State, Sept. 27 & 29.
 
RAMS AT A GLANCE
• Colorado State will begin the final non-conference weekend with a 6-3 record after finishing the Michigan Challenge with a 2-1 record.
• The Rams defeated LSU and Oakland to start the weekend, but fell to No. 20 Michigan in the final match.
Kirstie Hillyer and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen were named to the all-tournament team.
Katie Oleksak tallied her second double-double of the season with 45 assists and 10 digs at Oakland on Sept. 7.
Kirstie Hillyer finished the Michigan Challenge with 34 kills, while hitting .394 and owning the net with 18 total blocks.
Kirstie Hillyer has reached double-digit kills in the last six matches, including leading the team in half of them.
• CSU set a new attendance record in its season-opening match against No. 12 Illinois on Aug. 24, packing in 7,745 fans into Moby.
