FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women's golf team moved up three spots to seventh place during day two of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic. Senior Katrina Prendergast led the Rams with a one-under 71 to move up to tie for 19th.
 
Colorado State started on the back nine and struggled at the start as they made the turn at 17-over. Prendergast was the lone Ram to tally a birdie on the back course, making good puts on holes 13 and 15.
 
After the turn, CSU dialed it in, recording seven birdies, including one eagle from Prendergast to finish the day with a 297. Neither CSU player inked more than two bogies after the turn, while each recording at least one birdie.
 
Boise State continues to lead the field, carding a two-under 286 today. Tara Finigan from Boise State leads the pack with an 11-under par after tying the Ram Classic single round low with a seven-under 65 which was set last year by CSU's Katrina Prendergast.

Greb leads Rams after day one of Ram Classic
 
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Sophomore Haley Greb carded a two-over 74 in the first day of the Ptarmigan Ram Classic to finish the day tied for 16th. Colorado State ended the day in 10th place with a 17-over par 305.
 
Greb started the day carding three birdies on the front nine to make the turn with a one-under 35. On the back, she tallied four bogies before finishing the round with her fourth birdie of the day. Jessica Sloot followed inking a three-over par 75 in the opening round, making par or less on 12 holes including all but the first hole on the front nine.
 
Boise State leads the field with a five-over 293 in part from leader, Tara Finigan who recorded a four-under 68 in the round.

Rams open fall schedule hosting Ptarmigan Ram Classic
 
THIS WEEK: The Colorado State women's golf team will begin the 2018-19 season hosting the 21st Ptarmigan Ram Classic at Ptarmigan Country Club, Sept. 17-19. The Ptarmigan Ram Classic dates back to 1995 and plays 6,499 yards. Tee times begin at 8:30 p.m., on Monday off the first tee box and 9 a.m. off the 10th hole.
 
2017 RAM CLASSIC
Last season, Colorado State finished tied for third with an eight-over par (294-289-289--872). Katrina Prendergast led the Rams, finishing tied for second with an eight-under (72-71-65--208) and set a program record with her 65 in the final round. Ellen Secor followed with a fifth place finish with a three-under (72-71-70--213).

FORMAT
Three-day, 54-hole tournament with 18 holes played on each day. The top-four individuals from each five-member team with the lowest scores for each 18-hole round constitute the scoring members for that given round.
 
TEE TIMES
Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m., off the first hole and at 9 a.m., off the 10th tee box for the first two days. The final round will begin at 8 a.m., and 8:30 a.m., off respected holes.
 
UP NEXT
Colorado State will head to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho next week for the Coeur D'Alene Resort Collegiate Invite, hosted by Gonzaga, Sept. 24-25.
