Sant ranks 11th in the NCAA in the 200 meters with her performance on Friday

USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Colorado State redshirt senior Marybeth Sant broke the all-time indoor school record in the women's 200 meters to lead the Rams at the Air Force Team Challenge from the Cadet Field House.

Sant clocked a time of 23.45, taking down the previous record of 23.71 set by Leah Fair in 2016. After an altitude adjustment to 23.59, Sant ranks 11th in the NCAA in the event. In addition, only four athletes in the world have run a faster time in the women's 200 meters than Sant's raw 23.45 time when including all track sizes.

Among the top marks for the Rams in the field events was senior Kelcey Bedard's personal-best performance of 67-5.5 (20.56m) in the women's weight throw. Her mark ranks third on CSU's all-time indoor list, and topped the Air Force field by over nine feet. Bedard's mark ranks 15th in the NCAA this indoor season.

Junior Bailey King won the men's weight throw with a personal-best mark of 62-11.25 (19.18m), and moved up to 18th on CSU's all-time indoor list in the event. Rounding out event victors in the throws was sophomore Tarynn Sieg, who won the women's shot put with a mark of 48-10.25 (14.89m).

Nia Powdrell won the women's long jump on Friday with a mark of 19-8 (5.99m), topping Friday's field by over half of a foot. Powdrell's mark ranks fourth on CSU's all-time indoor list. Amelia Harvey cleared 19 feet in the long jump, her second long jump mark of 19 feet or better this season, and won the triple jump with a mark of 38-5.5 (11.72m).

Additional personal-best performances in women's track events came in the 60-meter hurdles, in which Gabby Smith clocked a time of 8.77 and Aria Tate finished in 8.78. Smith's time ranks 14th in program history, while Tate's is 15th. On the men's side, Nathan Gish matched his indoor best in the 200 meters with a time of 21.81. That time ranks 14th on CSU's all-time indoor list.
