- Lineup Changes: Â For the first time in his career, Rashad Ajayi did not start at cornerback, snapping a string of 18 consecutive starts; true freshman Keevan Bailey started in his place, becoming the fifth true freshman to start for the Rams this season. Manny Jones, who had started every game, was out with an injury. Jan-Phillip Bombek made his first start this season, the third in his career. Â
- Shorts Weather: CSU head coach Mike Bobo opted to wear shorts on the sidelines for the game. Temperature at kickoff was 58 degrees in Albuquerque.
- Another First: Wide receiver Ryan Lynch made his first appearance for the Rams this season.

QB Patrick O'Brien
- - In his fourth consecutive start, he surpassed 300 yards passing for the second time this season.
- - The junior completed 25-of-34 passes for career best in yardage (420) and touchdowns (three). Â
DL Jan-Phillip Bombek
- - Extended his team lead in sacks to 5.0 with his 13-yard drop of Sheriron Jones in the first quarter.
- - He finished the game with five tackles, equaling a career best with four solo stops.
TE Trey McBride
- - The sophomore found the end zone for the first time this season with a 42-yard catch to open the scoring.
- - Both of his career TD catches have been 40 yards or longer. His first was a 48-yarder at Florida in 2018.

WR Dante Wright
