No. 14 Rams Outlast Tough Broncos

Colorado State extended its winning streak to 16-straight matches and its overall record against Boise State to 17-1.
BOISE, Idaho – The No. 14 Colorado State volleyball team needed five sets to take down Boise State on Thursday night in Bronco Gym.
MATCH NOTES
- The two teams combined for 34.5 blocks in the five set match
- The Rams kept the Broncos to a .038 hitting, while hitting .191
- Breana Runnels recorded her second double-double of the season with 17 kills and 15 digs
- Katie Oleksak also tallied a double-double – her fifth of the season – with 59 assists and 13 digs
- Kirstie Hillyer helped lead the team, flooring 17 kills and hitting .333
- Paulina Hougaard-Jensen, Jessica Jackson and Sasha Colombo reached double-figure kills
- Colombo recorded 10 kills – a career high
- CSU was blocked seven times in the first set and had five service errors
- The Rams were held to a match-low .053 hitting mark in the first set, while BSU hit a match-high .240
- CSU finished with over double the amount of kills of BSU, 68-33

Colorado State will stay on the road and play at Utah State on Saturday afternoon. The Aggies took Wyoming to five sets on Thursday night, but suffered a loss.
