  • Attendance: Saturday's homecoming crowd was 29,767.
  • Series: Colorado State now trails in the series 21-14
  • Fresh start: True freshman linebacker Mohamed Kamara made his first career start, becoming the fourth first-year player to start a game for the Rams this season (WR Dante Wright, LG Nouredin Nouili, K Cayden Camper). Kamara logged five tackles and 1.5 tackles-for-loss.
  • Behind the Chains: Colorado State finished with 12 tackles-for-loss, a season high. The previous best was 10 vs. Western Illinois. The figure included four sacks, doubling their total for the year against FBS competition. They had two prior (seven vs. Western Illinois).
 
PLAYER NOTES
QB Patrick O'Brien
  • - Finished 19-of-30 passing for 217 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
  • - It was his third game with a touchdown pass at Colorado State.
 
S Jamal Hicks
  • -Tied  his career high 15 tackles in a game. He set this record for the first time on Nov. 22, 2018, against Air Force.
 
LB Cam'ron Carter
  • -Recorded his first collegiate sack in the first quarter, sharing it with DL Jan-Phillip Bombek.
  • Surpassed his career high with eight tackles in a game. His previous career high of seven tackles were against Wyoming (Oct. 26, 2018) and Utah State (Sept. 28, 2019).
 
S Logan Stewart
  • -Eclipsed his career high with 10 total stops, including a career-high seven solo tackles. His previous records were nine total tackles, five solo, both in game against Toledo (Sept. 21, 2019).
  • -Posted his first collegiate tackle-for-loss in the third quarter.
 
DE Damion Dickens
  • -Dickens had his first career sack for a San Diego State loss of 12 yards.
 
DL Devin Phillips
  • -Made his first sack of the season, for a one-yard loss.
  • -Phillips claimed a career high of three solo tackles in a single game.
 
DL Jan-Phillip Bombek
  • -Matched season-high 1.5 sacks in a game. He recorded 1.5 sacks in game against Western Illinois (Sept. 7, 2019).
