FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The Colorado State women's basketball team departs on its first out-of-state road trip Tuesday en route to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Idaho Vandals Wednesday at 6 p.m. PT.

Coach's Corner
-Head Coach Ryun Williams picked up a win to start his eighth year at the helm – the winningest coach in CSU history (147-80, .648 overall record)

On Idaho…
"They are a team that plays with great spacing and puts a lot of shooters on the floor. They really challenge your individual defense. We'll have to do a good job at contesting the three, but they have a couple kids that are good going to the glass as well. They are a good transition team, so it is a difficult challenge for our team defensively. We are excited to go out there and compete against a well-coached and experienced team."

Off The Tip
- After finishing the 2018-19 season with an 8-22 record, the Rams tout a new-look squad - on the court - for 2019-20. Eleven student-athletes return from last year's roster, however five of those student-athletes redshirted for injury or transfer rules.

-The first true road trip for the Rams (3-0) outside of a 30-minute bus ride to Northern Colorado has Colorado State chartering to Moscow, Idaho to take on the Idaho Vandals. The Rams are fitting in a practice at home Tuesday afternoon before getting on the two-hour flight and travel the approximate 730-mile distance to Moscow.

- The Rams and the Vandals meet at 6 p.m. PST/7 p.m. MT at the Memorial Gym. The venue isn't the main home for Vandals basketball as that title belongs to Cowan Spectrum since the early 2000s, however both Vandal hoops teams make a few appearances a year at the former main facility that opened in 1928.

- The Vandals (0-1) are well rested with an 8-day gap since their last game, which was a season-opener loss at Oklahoma State (62-47). Idaho was picked second in the Big Sky Conference Preseason Poll after winning the regular season title last season. The Vandals are led by Gina Marxen, Big Sky's reigning Freshman of the Year. More on the previous matchup/series on page 5 & 9 of the game notes.

- The last time out, Colorado State defeated Western Colorado to improve to 3-0, tying head coach Ryun Williams' best start at CSU with the 2015-16 campaign. The saving grace for the Rams in the game was defense as they forced 30 turnovers and grabbed 18 steals. Individually, freshman Katia Stamatelopoulos tallied seven steals - the most among any player in the Mountain West this season. CSU was very efficient at the free-throw line, going 20-of-25.

A Colorado State Win on Wednesday Would Mean…
- The Rams' first 4-0 start since 2001-02 when CSU began the season 6-0 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
- The Rams' first win over a team that won its regular season conference championship last season. UI won the Big Sky regular season and then went to the Sweet 16 of the WNIT in 2019. It would be CSU's second win over a postseason team (UNC).

Scouting Idaho Vandals
- There isn't much of a sample size to look at for Idaho being 0-1 and it being an away game at a power five school. Oklahoma State is tabbed to finished sixth in the Big 12 so they weren't bottom-tier by any means.
- From last year's squad that went 22-12 overall and 16-4 in the Big Sky, the Vandals return three starters and six other letterwinners, while losing two and one, respectively. They trot out four newcomers for the 2019-20 campaign.
- Idaho lost its two leading scorers from last season, leaving Lizzy Klinker (9.3) as the returning top scorer, but the Vandals do bring back its top-two rebounders in Lizzy (7.3 rpg) and her sister Natalie Klinker (7.8 rpg).
