Last Time Out
• The Rams defeated Northern Colorado on Friday to improve to 2-0, the best start since 2015-16. The win put CSU on top in the series when played in Greeley at 9-8, including four straight in Bank Of Colorado Arena. Starting in place of Lore Devos, redshirt-junior Jamie Bonnarens poured in 19 points, while redshirt-junior Megan Jacobs, on her birthday, followed with 18 of her own on 35 minutes played - both career marks. Adding stability was redshirt-senior Andrea Brady with 11 points and seven rebounds. Graduate forward Makenzie Ellis pulled in a career-high 10 rebounds for her first double-digit board game ever.
Scouting Western Colorado
• Not much is known about the Mountaineers as they haven't had a regular-season game, but have completed two exhibitions. This will be their third.
• From last year's squad, the Eagles return four starters and three other letterwinners, while losing three and four, respectively. They trot out five newcomers for the 2019-20 campaign.
• Western Colorado kept their leading scorer from last season, Samantha Coleman (11.5 ppg), but lost their top two rebounders.
A Colorado State Win on Sunday Would Mean…
• The Rams' first 3-0 start since 2015-16 when CSU defeated Western State, Incarnate Word, and BYU to begin the season.
Breaking Off the Rust
• For the "Anxious Five" it had been some time since an official game prior to this season. Tori Williams and Andrea Brady hadn't played since 3/18/18 (591 Days). Megan Jacobs and Jamie Bonnarens hadn't seen real action since 3/1/18 (608 Days). Lastly, Roichelle Marble hurt her knee in last season's exhibition on 11/1/18 (363 Days).
Rams Pinned to finish Sixth in Mountain West Preseason Poll
• The preseason Mountain West Awards were released on Thursday, Oct. 31, with the Ram projected to finish sixth. In Williams' seven years, he has four first-place finishes, a sixth place, a fourth place and 2018's 11th place.
