Rams finish season at Mountain West Championship

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Ellen Secor led the Colorado State women's golf team all three days, including recording her lowest score the final day, at the Mountain West Championship as the Rams finished their season on Wednesday. Secor inked a 77-81-75--233 for the Championship to finish tied for 17th – moving up the leaderboard seven spots the final round.

Secor was nearly perfect all day, making par or better on the front course to make the turn at one-under. On the back, she continued to make par on five holes and sink another birdie to sign off on a three-over 75. For the Championship, the junior recorded four birdies and made par on 34 holes – over half.

Jessica Sloot and Saga Traustadottir followed Secor, finishing tied for 29th. Sloot finished the third round with a six-over 78, making par or better on 11 holes. Traustadottir, who was playing in her first ever Championship, inked a three-over 75 for the finale which included a pair of birdies and marking par on 11 holes.

Fiona Hebbel, who was also playing in her first ever Championship and first tournament of the season, finished the three-day event with a 12-over 84. Katrina Prendergast played better in the final round, recording a nine-over 81 to finish the season. Prendergast is the lone season on the roster and will finish her career in the Green and Gold as one of the best to ever wear it.
