Rams land 87 athletes on 2019 Spring Academic All-MW team

Women’s track and field has 20 on list

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State had 87 spring athletes earn academic All-Mountain West honors for the spring session, part of a conference-record 1,021 honorees as the list was released Monday. The sports under consideration are men's and women's basketball, women's swimming and diving, women's tennis and men's and women's track and field.
 
To qualify for the spring academic honors, student-athletes must have finished at least one academic term at the member school while maintaining a grade-point average of 3.0 or better, all while being a starter or major contributor to their team.
 
The women's track & field team led CSU with 20 athletes earning spring honors, with women's swimming and diving (18) and men's track & field (14) hitting double digits.
 
Four of the Rams carried perfect 4.0 GPAs – Jordan Acosta and Jessica Jarecki (softball), Jennae Frederick (swimming) and Maddie Wilson (women's track & field).
