Rams Complete Perfect Weekend with Upset Sweep against No. 22 Florida State

Colorado State finished the Fight in the Fort with three sweeps
FORT WORTH, Texas – The Colorado State volleyball team finished the weekend with an upset sweep over No. 22 Florida State on Saturday morning. The Rams recorded a 3-0 record at the Fight in the Fort; all three matches via sweeps.
STAT OF THE MATCH
Alexa Roumeliotis recorded 23 digs in the sweep; tying for fifth in modern scoring history at CSU in a three-set match.
MATCH NOTES
- The last time the Rams swept a ranked opponent was against then-No. 16 Michigan in 2017
- CSU also swept then-No. 15 Florida State in 2017
- Rams trailed 14-12 in the third set before responding and earning the sweep
- Breana Runnels led the Rams with 14 kills and added seven digs, three blocks and three aces
- Kirstie Hillyer added 10 kills, while hitting .400 and putting up a team-best six blocks
- Katie Oleksak dished out 44 assists
- Alexa Roumeliotis again led the backrow with 23 digs
- The Rams kept the Seminoles to a .169 hitting mark
- Katie Oleksak, Breana Runnels and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen were named to the all-tournament team, including Oleksak named the MVP

Colorado State will return to Colorado and play a home-and-home with the University of Colorado.
