THE WEEK
• Colorado State is back home and has a tough week again with it being Rivalry Week.
• The Rams will play a home-and-home series with No. 19 Colorado, starting on Thursday at 7 p.m., in Moby Arena.
• Colorado State will wear Orange for its annual Orange Out Thursday night celebrating the history of when CSU was Colorado A&M.
• CSU will then play the Buffs in Boulder on Friday night at 6 p.m., in the CU Events Center.
• The two schools will be playing in the inaugural series for the Golden Spike Trophy. More HERE.

LAST WEEK
• Colorado State continued its successful start to the season at the Fight in the Fort hosted by TCU last week.
• The Rams cruised past all three opponents, recording sweeps over Florida Atlantic, TCU and then-No. 22 Florida State.
• Katie Oleksak was named the tournament MVP and to the all-tournament team, along with Paulina Hougaard-Jensen and Breana Runnels.

LOOKING AHEAD
• Following the rivalry week, the Rams will have the weekend off before hosting their final non-conference opponents next weekend.
• CSU will host Northern Colorado, Cal Poly and Oregon State before beginning Mountain West action on Sept. 26.

OPPONENTS AT A QUICK GLANCE
• Colorado had a very successful weekend at the Pac-12/Big Ten Challenge in Iowa City, Iowa last week.
• The Buffs recorded a pair of sweeps against host Iowa and then-No. 5 Illinois.
• CU finished 2018 with an 18-14 overall record and a 10-10 mark in the Pac-12 to make an NCAA Tournament appearance.
• Colorado is ranked No. 19 in this week's AVCA Poll after it swept Illinois.
• The Buffs are one of 23 teams undefeated this season.

• CSU recorded a perfect 3-0 record last week at the Fight in the Fort tournament in Fort Worth, Texas.
• The Rams swept all three opponents faced, including then-No. 22 Florida State.
• Katie Oleksak was named the tournament MVP and to the all-tournament team, joined by Paulina Hougaard-Jensen and Breana Runnels.
• Alexa Roumeliotis was named the Mountain West Defensive Player of the Week – the first of the season for CSU.
• Colorado State holds a 5-1 record so far this season, with its lone loss to Californian in the season opening weekend.
• CSU holds a four-match winning streak, with all four victories coming via sweeps.
• The Rams won their 15th regular season MW title in 2018 after a 23-8 overall record and 15-3 in league play.
• Senior setter, Katie Oleksak was named the Preseason Player of the Year for the second time.
• CSU claimed four of the seven preseason team positions, including Oleksak, Breana Runnels, Kirstie Hillyer and Paulina Hougaard-Jensen.
• The Rams reached the 20-win plateau a season ago for the 24th consecutive season.
• Last season the Rams finished in the Top-25 in the nation in aces per set, blocks per set and hitting percentage.
• The only loss CSU will see from 2018 is in its ace and dig totals. The Rams return 98.3% of their total offense.
