FORT COLLINS, Colo. – After a 26-day layoff for the holidays, the Colorado State track & field team will resume the 2019-20 indoor season at the Potts Invitational starting Friday and going through Saturday in Boulder, Colo.
With the long-distance runners back in action following a break from the cross country season, the Rams are utilizing close to a full roster. CSU will send 36 student-athletes from the women's side, while the men will have 46 in competition. Prior to the break, the most the Rams had in action was 55 total student-athletes at the UCCS Holiday Invite.

Head Coach Brian Bedard
On resuming competition after the long break…
"It is always a concern when you are coming back from a break. Did the student-athletes do their homework? Were they able to train like they were supposed to train? Some when they go home have access to track facilities, but not all. And then we had some that had tough weather conditions to deal with. So, it is usually a question mark on where we are at, but we will find that answer out quickly. For the most part, I just want to see a competitive effort. We know they might not be all that sharp yet, but that's okay. I'm excited to have most of the team there aside from a few that we are being cautious about."
On the meet…
"There will be good competition and it's a great facility. It is a good place to open up our season after the break, and it is close to home, so it makes for easy travel."
