Three Personal Records Land on Schoolβs All-Time List
AMES, Iowa β After day one at the Iowa State Classic yielded four Colorado State all-time top-20 performances, Saturday's day two tacked on three more in the final day of the meet inside the Lied Recreational Center on the Harry Hoak Track.
Β
The Rams only competed in the mile race and only had five total competitors between the men and women's race.
Β
Making the biggest jump, Jacob Brueckman improved nearly seven seconds on his personal record in the mile to clock a 4:05.76, finishing in 16th place. The Issaquah, Wash. native has upped his PR in back-to-back tries and this time he landed at No. 11 on CSU's all-time performance list for the event.
Β
Seven finishers later, Tom Oates crossed with a time of 4:08.43 β also notching a PR and making his debut on the school's all-time list. Oates, of Chelsea, Mich., fits into the No. 17 spot after shaving off over six seconds from his previous best mark.
Β
Junior Lauren Offerman was the lone Ram competing on the women's side. The transfer from Texas Tech recorded a PR of 4:57.38, cutting off five seconds from her last PR. The time sneaks right into CSU's all-time list at 19th.
