On the focus of the meet…
"This meet is primarily for two groups. Either they are getting back from an injury and need some live action or are student-athletes that are fighting to get onto the conference roster. There is still some spots that are up in the air and this meet could be a determinant."

A Refresher from Last Time Out (Don Kirby Invitational & Iowa State Classic; 2/13-15)
• Day one of Don Kirby saw movement on CSU's all-time indoor list. Celyn Stermer notched a personal record in the pole vault that stands fifth on the school list. Amelia Harvey improved to ninth all-time in the 200 meter. Haley Showalter registered her best weight throw while at CSU that is 12th on the list. In the 400m, Tom Willems and DeVon Washington recorded the fifth and 15th-best time in school history.
• Some Ram debuts. Lauren Gale and Jessica Ozoude were back in gold and green jerseys. Lane Walter made his CSU debut in the weight throw.
• Rams excelled at the Iowa State Classic. On day one, Ali Kallner captured the school record in the 3,000 meter, while Sarah Carter and Lily Tomasula-Martin each moved into the top-15 of the 5,000m. On the men's side, Forrest Barton ran the 10th-best school time in the 5000m. More impressive was Eric Hamer showing that his CSU 5000m record he set in December wasn't a fluke after he recorded a time that would hold the honor as well.
• Day two of Don Kirby brought more fruitful results. Tarynn Sieg tossed her best shot put of the season with Maria Muzzio right behind her in fourth place. Gale showed no rust in the 400m by tying her PR that is second all-time at CSU. In the men's shot put, Mariano Kis and Beau Gordon notched PRs.
• To cap the busy weekend, the Rams closed out the Iowa State Classic similar to how they started. In the mile, Lauren Offerman snuck into the top-20 indoor list, while Jacob Brueckman and Tom Oates did so on the men's side as well.
