Spring Schedule Set for Soccer

Soccer in action for six dates, including two at Canvas Stadium.
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Two games inside Canvas Stadium highlight the 2020 spring schedule for the Colorado State women's soccer team the program announced Monday.
"Spring always brings a different challenge to our players," head coach Bill Hempen said. "We see different teams and styles than what we see in the fall. The 8v8 event is always fun and fast in addition to the traditional 11v11 games against many in-state programs we rarely see. Two of our games are in Canvas Stadium which is fun for both us and our opponents."
Each event on the Rams' spring soccer schedule is open to the public. The slate begins Sunday, March 1 with the program's 8v8 indoor event that welcomes University of Denver, Northern Colorado and Air Force. Action is tentatively slated for an 8:00 a.m. MT start at the Indoor Practice Facility.
The two contests to follow will be at Canvas Stadium under the lights with evening starts. First, the Rams host the Colorado School of Mines on March 11 at 7 p.m. for a midweek game. A little over two weeks later, CSU and Northern Colorado will play on Friday, March 27 at 6 p.m. to conclude the Canvas Stadium games.
Returning to the CSU Soccer Field for the final three contests, the Rams first welcome Metro State for the first Saturday of April, the 4th, at 11 a.m. The spring schedule then will conclude in the third weekend of April with two games. On Saturday, the 18th, CSU and FC Boulder Women with an 11 a.m. start. The program caps the springs competition with its Third Annual Alumni Game scheduled for 12 p.m. MT at the CSU Soccer Field between the 2020 Rams and a team comprised of the program's alumni.
See below for a full listing of the Rams' 2020 spring schedule. The Colorado State women's soccer team returns 20 student-athletes from last year's team that went 12-5-3 for the most successful record in the program's seven years.
"Our spring training began when school started, and the spirit we had in the fall has carried over to this group, which is very exciting for our future," Hempen, the Mountain West Coach of the Year, added.
