NEW ORLEANS – The Colorado State women's golf team started its spring schedule at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate hosted by Tulane. The Rams finished the two-day event in 14th place with a 306-310-298—917 (+41), including not scoring a worse than a bogy during the final round. CSU faced a tough field, including five that are ranked by GolfStat.

"It was exciting to see the freshmen play solid golf this week," said assistant coach Mitchell Moore. "They came out confident with the improvements we have made to their games over the winter and it showed with some of their best three day scores of their career. They are starting to feel more comfortable in college golf and their scores will continue to improve each tournament we play.

TOURNAMENT NOTES
- The Rams were suppose compete over three days, but weather pushed the start of the tournament to Monday morning with a shotgun start with two rounds of continuous play
- Four of the five Rams finished with a lower round score than the opening round
- Gabby Minier led CSU tying for 47th with a 75-78-74—227 card
- Colorado State was one of eight schools to sink an eagle, coming from Tomine Bjerkelo during the second round on hole 11
- CSU finished the two-day event strong, inking nothing worse than a bogy the final day
- The Rams racked up 31 birdies over the three rounds, led by Jessica Sloot and Gabby Minier with seven apiece
