CSU is tied for 14th after 18 holes with just 10 shots separating fourth from 14th.
PALM DESERT, Calif. – Colorado State couldn't get on track in the opening round of the spring schedule and is tied for 14th at the 2020 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, Feb. 21. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of Wyoming, is being played at Classic Club (Par 72 – 7,305 yards) in Palm Desert, Calif.
The Rams couldn't find a rhythm for making birdies and were hampered by several mistakes in posting a 7-over 295 in a tie with UT Arlington. Oregon leads the field at 10-under 278, with Charlotte at 9-under 279 in second. Auburn is third at 3-under 285, with Boise State ate 3-under 285 and North Texas at 2-under 286 rounding out the top five teams. Just 10 shots separates fourth from 14th in this tightly-bunched field.
