PALM DESERT, Calif. – Colorado State rallied on the second day, improving by nine shots on their opening round score and moving up six spots to eighth after the second round of the 2020 Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate, Feb. 21. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of Wyoming, is being played at Classic Club (Par 72 – 7,305 yards) in Palm Desert, Calif.
"Today was much a better performance for the team," head coach Christian Newton said. "It was one of the better rounds of the day, and we need another good one tomorrow to keep digging out of the hole we created in round one."
One of just five under-par scores on the day, the Rams posted a 2-under 286 and moved up from a tie for 14th to eighth at 5-over 581.
