CSU Tied For 10th Through Two Rounds of Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo.  – On a breezy day, Colorado State slipped late in the round and is tied for 10th through 36 holes at the Ron Moore Women's Intercollegiate Saturday. The three-day, 54-hole tournament, hosted by the University of Denver, is being played at University of Denver Golf Course at Highlands Ranch (Par 72 – 6,302 yards) in Highlands Ranch, Colo.

On a day where the scores increased throughout almost the entire field, CSU posted an 11-over 299 on the day and is currently at 15-over 291 in a tie with Wyoming and Tulane. East Tennessee State is still the leader at 9-under 567, but the margin is down to four as Cal Poly is in second at 5-under 571 after the best round of the day, a 4-under 284. Denver is third at 3-under 573, while San Francisco is fourth at 2-over 578. Grand Canyon rounds out the top five teams at 6-over 582.

Junior Andrea Bergsdottir continues to pace the Rams, as she recorded her second consecutive even-par 72 and is tied for sixth at even-par 144. Sophomore Gabby Minier is next at 3-over 147, tied for 27th. Freshman Lacey Uchida is tied for 34th at 5-over 149, while sophomore Sofia Torres is tied for 47th with freshman Pemika Arphamongkol, playing as an individual, at 7-over 151. Sophomore Panchalika Arphamongkol completes the CSU effort at 16-over 160 in a tie for 69th. East Tennessee State's Tereza Melecka and Toni Sottile of San Francisco are tied for the individual lead at 5-under 139.

The Rams will go off in a shotgun start at 9 a.m., starting on holes 10-13 and playing with Wyoming and Tulane.
