FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State Athletics will be holding its annual Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Toy Drive at a pair of home basketball games this December, including on Saturday when the men's program hosts Saint Mary's at 2 p.m.
Â
SAAC will also be on hand during the Dec. 12 women's game against CSU-Pueblo at Noon.
Â
Drop off bins, hosted by Colorado State student-athletes including football's A'Jon Vivens and track and field's Kamal-Craig Golaube and Lauren Gale among others, will be available on the outdoor concourses around Moby Arena.
Â
Fans can drop off their new and unwrapped toys before entering for the two contests, with all donations benefitting the Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County.
Â
"I think it is a great thing that SAAC is doing," Gale said. "I am a big fan of the holiday season, so this is a way we can give back to kids in our community. So we encourage everyone to donate and help these kids have a great holiday."
Â
"It is amazing to be able to support our community with this," Golaube added. "Since we have a big support system within the community that show up to all of our events across athletics, it is nice to be able to help ensure that everyone has a great holiday time."
Â
"There are many people that are not privileged enough to do all they want for kids at this time of year," Vivens said. "I think it is important to be able to give back to the community and provide a great experience at this time of year."
Â
"We are so appreciative od CSU for making the holidays extra special for the kids and teens at the Boys and Girls Club!" Kaycee Headrick, Executive Director of Boys and Girls Clubs of Larimer County, said. "This act of kindness will make the season a bit brighter for all of our families."
Â
Tickets for both games, along with the new fan-flexible mini-plans for the remainder of the 2021-22 seasons, can be purchased now by contacting the CSU Athletics Ticket Office at 800-491-RAMS (7267), csurams.com/tickets or ramtix@colostate.edu.
