COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  – A pair of Colorado State women's soccer players earned All-Mountain West honors announced by the conference on Sunday. Senior midfielder Liv Layton was named to the first team while freshman midfielder Mia Massey finds her name on the All-Newcomer team.

Layton earned her first career All-Mountain West honor by leading the Rams with four goals during the conference season, tying for the third most across the league. She also ranked in the top 10 for shots, tying for fifth with 29. Fourteen of those 29 ended up on goal. The Rams never lost a game that Layton scored in this season. Layton's six goals on the year tied for the third most in program history and her 15 points are the fourth most.

Freshman Mia Massey had a strong first year to earn a spot on the All-Newcomer team. She cracked the starting lineup by the time the schedule turned to conference play and remained there the rest of the year. The Parker, Colorado native recorded 15 of her 19 shots on the year during Mountain West play. She led the Rams with six shots against Colorado College. Massey was efficient with her shots placing 48.7% on goal.
