Bergsdottir’s Ace Highlights CSU’s Second Round

Senior Andrea Bergsdottir recorded an ace during the second round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – A hole in one, something most golfers dream of. For Andrea Bergsdottir it was a reality Saturday when she aced the fourth hole at the DU Golf Club at Highlands Ranch during the second round of the Ron Moore Intercollegiate. The ace helped her shoot an even-par, 72 in the second round to keep her at 2-under for the tournament.
Bergsdottir recorded her fifth straight round of par or better with a 72 on Saturday. Her round once again was the best on the day for the Rams on the team side. She made the turn at 3-under but ended up with a 3-over, 39, on the back nine to end the round with a 72. She is tied for 10th entering tomorrow's final round.
Pemika Arphamongkol shot the best round of the day for any CSU golfer in the field with a 2-under, 70. Arphamongkol is competing as an individual, recording five birdies on her scorecard Saturday. Her round moved her into a tie for 28th on the individual leaderboard.
Gabby Minier rebounded for CSU after an opening round 4-over, 76, she fired a 1-over, 73 on Saturday. The senior was even at the turn thanks to back-to-back birdies on the fifth and sixth hole.
Colorado State enters the final round in eighth place, three strokes behind Northern Arizona for seventh and four strokes behind a three-way tie for fourth place.
Sunday's final round features a 9 am shotgun start with CSU teeing off on holes 7-9. Live results can be found by clicking here.
