Scouting the Lions
Fourth-year head coach David Kiefer brings his team to Fort Collins following a 90-72 season-opening win against defending NAIA champion Loyola-New Orleans.

SLU had five different players reach double figures scoring in the win, lead by Brody Rowbury's 16. The freshman forward shot 7-of-8 from the field.

Last year the Lions finished second in the Southland Conference and played in the Basketball Classic postseason tournament. They return just one starter from that team.

SLU comes into the 2022-23 season picked to finish fourth in the Southland Conference.
