Roddy Named to Jersey Mike's Naismith Player of the Year Midseason Team

The Minneapolis, Minn. junior forward is one of 30 players in the nation recognized on the list
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State junior forward David Roddy has been named to the Jersey Mike's Naismith Trophy Player of the Year Midseason Team, the organization announced today. He is one of 30 players from around the nation honored on this midseason list as this is the fourth watch list that the Minneapolis, Minn., native has been recognized on, including the Wooden, Lute Olson and Karl Malone Award lists.

Currently, Roddy ranks fourth in the Mountain West at 19.24 points per game and is sixth in rebounding at 7.81 boards per contest. He also ranks first in field goal percentage, tied for 11th in assists per game, seventh in blocked shots and 11th in assist-to-turnover ratio. He has had five games of 20 or more points this year, including 30 points in the first round of the Paradise Jam against Bradley and 36 points with seven three-pointers versus Creighton in the Paradise Jam semis. Most recently, he scored 29 points on 11-of-14 field goal attempts and 4-of-5 from three in leading the Rams to an 82-72 victory at Nevada, the program's first win in Reno since 2015.  Â

The Rams are back in the friendly confines of Moby Arena for its only home game in this five-game stretch to host Fresno State on Fri., Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. MT. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, with Chris Lewis as play-by-play, Chris Walker the analyst and Brandon Baylor the sideline reporter
