Rams Scratch Fum McGraw Invite for Bigger Away Meet
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Due to low interest in the meet and wanting to pursue more diverse competition out of state, Colorado State track and field head coach Brian Bedard has opted out of hosting one of CSU's home meets – the Fum McGraw Invitational.

En lieu of staying home, the entire Ram team will travel for the West Coast Relays in Clovis, Calif., on the weekend of March 31st to April 1st. Originally reserved as a meet only for the CSU distance group due to the sea-level elevation, Bedard has changed course to get more of the team out against different competition as opposed to the usual local teams that the home meets attract. A bonus with the switch is more Rams get to compete at the Veterans Memorial Stadium, which will host the Mountain West Championships at the end of May.

Two home meets now highlight the outdoor season, starting with the Doug Max Invitational (4/16) and then the Jack Christiansen Invite (4/22-23).

The CSU women look to defend their indoor Mountain West Championship by pairing it with an outdoor trophy. Last year, they were the outdoor runner-up, while the CSU men held up the outdoor conference trophy.
