Colorado State Racks Up 13 Top-20 All-Time Marks at Spank Blasing Invitational

PUEBLO, Colo. – Thirteen top 20 all-time marks highlighted the outdoor season opener for the Colorado State track and field program in the Spank Blasing Invitational on the campus of CSU Pueblo.

Five of those marks fell within the top 10 for their respective event lists. Three came from the women's side, while the men obtained two.

The best performance of the day occurred at men's pole vault where Eldridge Harris jumped a 16'8.75'', improving 3.25'' from his previous best and moving five spots up to get a share of second all-time in CSU history.

Two encouraging signs on the day were the rebounds from Kelley Stephens and Jessica Ozoude after both missed out on scoring for the Rams at last month's Mountain West Indoor Championships due to an injury. Stephens clocked a 10.55 in the 100-meter race to notch the 10th-best time in CSU history, while Ozoude leaped one person on the 400m list to obtain the third-best time ever at 53.57.

In the 400-meter hurdles, Yolonda Johnson shaved .49 seconds off her previous PR, crossing at 59.17 – good for a one-spot movement to fifth all-time in the green and gold.

Fresh off her NCAA Indoor Championship appearance and MW Indoor Women's Athlete of the Year award, Lexie Keller was back out on the track and continued to display her game. She PR'd in both her events and each were top-20 marks. First, Keller measured a 19'4.75'' in the long jump for a share of sixth all-time at CSU and then an hour or so later, she improved to 15th on the 100H list at 14.07.

Seven Ram women won events including Lauren Offerman (1500m), Ozoude (400), Janyah Jasper (100), Gabi McDonald (shot put), Michaela Hawkins (discus), Johnson (400H), and Keller (long jump). The 4x400m relay team represented the men's sole win.
