CSU Signs Taviontae Jackson To National Letter of Intent

The 6-2 guard from Las Vegas is one of the state's top high school players and is the third in this year's signing class
FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Colorado State has signed and Taviontae Jackson (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas HS) to a National Letter of Intent, head coach Niko Medved announced. Jackson will come to the 2022-23 Rams as a freshman, and joins forward Jack Payne (Boise, Idaho/Owyhee HS) and transfer forward Patrick Cartier (Brookfield, Wisc./Brookfield East HS (Hillsdale (MI) College) as part of the signing class.
A 6-2 combo guard, Jackson averaged 26.3 points, 4.4 assists, 12.2 rebounds and 3.7 steals a game while leading Las Vegas to an 18-8 overall record, 7-2 mark in conference play and a berth in the NIAA 4A State Tournament semifinals for the first time since 1999. A well-rounded player both offensively and defensively, Jackson was selected to the Las Vegas Sun's Super Seven prior to the 2021-22 season, a McDonald's All-America Game nominee and honored on the Class 4A All-Nevada team, First Team All-Southern Nevada and Lake League Player of the Year following his senior season. He had a high game of 43 points along with 13 rebounds and nine assists in a road win during the season. He chose Colorado State over Utah, Wyoming, Pacific and Siena, among others.
The Rams concluded the 2021-22 season with their first berth in the NCAA Tournament since 2013, finishing the year at 25-6 and with the highest win-percentage in program history.
