Former Rams complete men’s basketball staff
FORT COLLINS, Colo.  – Ali Farokhmanesh is keeping it in the Ramily to round out his 2026-27 coaching staff. The second-year coach welcomes back Nico Carvacho as a graduate assistant, elevating Baylor Hebb to Director of Player Personnel and hiring former head manager Parker Teff as a graduate assistant.
"We pride ourselves on having a family atmosphere and culture within our program. To have three young men who know the CSU way join our staff was an easy decision to make," Farokhmanesh said. "I am excited for them to continue to grow in our program, just in a new way. These three guys are examples of what it means to be a part of the Ramily."
Colorado State's all-time leading rebounder returns to Fort Collins after an impressive international basketball career playing in Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, Portugal and Israel while also representing his home country of Chile in FIBA competitions. Carvacho won two titles during his career, once with Rilski Sportist in Bulgaria, where he was also named the MVP of the Bulgarian Cup. He also won the Portuguese League championship with Benfica.
"Nico welcomed our initial staff and me to Fort Collins nine years ago; it feels full circle to have him now on staff with us," Farokhmanesh said. "His playing career speaks for itself. I can't wait for our current guys to learn from him and to see Nico take the next step in his career."
Hebb moves into a new role for the Rams as the Director of Player Personnel. Last season, he was a graduate assistant for the Rams, which won 21 games and reached the NIT. Hebb played an important role in developing CSU's younger players last season. The Colleyville, Texas native spent two seasons at CSU playing for the Rams from 2021-23.
"Baylor did a great job as a GA last year and showed the passion and heart it takes to be a coach; I can't wait to see him continue to grow professionally," said Farokhmanesh.
Teff spent four years as a student manager for the Rams, including the past two as the head manager. A key position within the program, working with both the coaches and players, from working on coaches' film at practice and games to spending late hours helping prepare the team for travel and games.
"Many people do not know the role of head manager and the dedication it takes to do the job. Parker is someone who is the backbone of your program, constantly working to make it better," Farokhmanesh said of Teff.
